Thomson Holidays choose The Theory... 05 April 2010
It looks like yet another busy summer for The Theory! We have been commissioned by award winning travel company Thomson Al Fresco to produce a series of TV commercial style promotional films for the launch of their new YouTube channel. The Theory’s track record for creating stylistic and engaging TV commercials, for major brands, was exactly the track record Thomson was looking for in a production house.
Thomson’s brief is to veer away from the usual mundane internet promotional films and instead produce a series of snappy and engaging films to promote their holiday destinations and luxury accommodation something akin to what you would watch at home on TV.
Creative Director Simon Sharp says “this is a great opportunity to prove that making content solely for the internet can be fresh, exciting and mimic high end commercials usually only associated with television. No matter what the content is or where it is shown we [The Theory] are here to make stuff people want to watch… Having Thomson as a client is a real coup as projects like this allows us to surpass expectations”.
So summer will be taking in the beautiful landscapes of northern and southern France and the stunning surroundings of Italy’s Lake Garda, home to the likes of George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Helen Mirren… who knows we may even get a cameo appearance by one of them!
